Comic artist Pisey grew up in Battambang province and studied at PHARE Ponleu Selapak art school prior to moving to Phnom Penh.

Pisey enjoys using her art skills to address current issues. She has participated in drawing events such as ‘24 Hour Comics Drawing Day‘ and ‘ComicKaze‘ and her storytelling skills have been honed in workshops with Cambodian/French teacher Séra.

Her illustrations have been featured in an HIV prevention campaign, and her works exhibited at Java Arts, Living Room and Meta-House. Currently, Pisey works as a graphic artist/designer and comic book illustrator for a number of NGOs, enjoying the independence that freelancing offers.

Chan Pisey’s art has been exhibited in 2010’s [Re]Générations: Exhibition and 2011’s [Re]Générations: Romances Exhibition (slideshow), both at Centre Culturel Français, Phnom Penh.
